Enjoy a great day at Forsyth Park while you are visiting Savannah. Forsyth Park is located right on the southern part of the historic district of the City of Savannah. It is about 30 acres in size and has a number of intriguing features that make it stand out.
See the water as it shoots out of the intricate fountain in the middle of the park. This fountain was heavily inspired by the Place de la Concorde fountain in Paris. It features a series of smaller statues around the base area. Check out the fountain on St. Patrick’s Day each year as the water is turned green in honor of the city’s strong Irish roots.
Enjoy what nature has to offer here in Savannah, GA as you head along the many walking paths in the park. There is even a fragrant garden for the blind that highlights a number of plants that produce appealing and unique scents.
Get active here in Savannah, Georgia and play along at one of the athletic fields at the park. There are basketball and tennis courts as well as a large Frisbee area. There is even a rugby field at the park that is home to the city’s local amateur rugby team.
